Hairy Pie

I made this in ceramics today. Its ment to be a female torso with hair growing inside ( dont ask me why . I honestly never give a moments thought to what anything in art means) I showed it to a fellow student and she thought it was a male torso and looking at it again it does look quite masculine, now , maybe I'm say something after all or maybe I'm just not good at doing women !I think thats right, art should be ambigous

Trees turning into People turning into Birds

I'm starting ceramics monday and because of this and because i'v cleared out my "studio" I made a piece out of clay. I really like .there are trees turning int people who climb up the trees and turn into birds . The people are knee deep in water because i like water and because unless I shortened the legs they collapsed under their own weight. I wonder how much art is modified by such compromises?any way I'll bring to college on monday and hope to get it fired sometime next week

shed

I started painting about 20 years ago, I think this is one of the first pictures I painted, I found it today clearing out the shed
I'm turning my shed into a studio, out goes all the model ships, trains and tanks (well up on to higher shelves anyway) and out comes the clay and paintbrushs , maybe at 54 I'm growing up and putting my toys away. Ha ha I doubt it!!

The River

Finished the 4 panels i started yesterday its parteen weir, O'breins bridge and Kilkee. One of the panals looks more like Africa but thats only because I squeezed out too much red paint and didnt want to waste it, really ! Good or bad there's plenty of it. It must be 4 meters long

O'Breins Bridge

I started painting 4 large panals today I've no real plan but the first one puts me in mind of o'breins Bridge on the Shannon where I often dive . I went for a dive there today after finishing the first panal. It was very dark today, all the rain had muddied up the water, could barely see our hands in front of our faces, nothing to see except slimy eels, creepy fun !
