Today i finished the paper swan I started yesterday. It's almost life size, now to make a clay version , that should be fun!!

I took the glazed canelabra out of the klin today, it's got a Maiolica look about it, I love it Also went down to the canal and painted

I,ve bisque fired and under glazed the pet god candelabra. I,ll probably glaze it tomorro I've glazed the self portrait. I want to use it with the skull

I took the decorated and glazed skull out of the klin, I really like it met Frank at the railway station in Limerick to do a bit of painting

Pet Pieta

I seem to be a bit obsessed with the pets at the moment. So I've done a pet pieta It's only a joke but by copying michelangelo s pieta, I've learnt it. I know in my version the hands and feet are placed a little differently but I'll remember forever where he placed his and the exact drape of the body. I've learnt an awfull lot from this little exercise, imagine how much I could have learnt if my art education had been an old style one with months and even years copying old masters and plaster casts, but I suppose it was a differant kind of art then

finished ceramic elective

This is it .This is what I'm presenting after my 2 week elective in ceramics. It was great fun we got a stack done. I,m working 2 or 3 days a week so I am only present half the time. I'm very greatfull to Kirean and Elaine who went out of their way to make sure I didn't miss out.The stuff I did is mostley based on the River Shannon between O,Briens bridge and Killalloe, things I've seen and done above and below the water.
