there is a huge old tree near brian boru's fort in kilaloe , its not one of the ones crowning the fort or even the ones you can see in the coniferious plantation on your right down by the fort , but walking down , almost invisable on your right looking thru a mass of planted conifers , standing alone , almost hidden but huge and ancient is a vast decidious tree , an oak , i dont know . It has a vast presance , like the first time i saw Gurnica or New York , finding it is as much art as I'll ever do . I've tried to paint it but got none of its power
